About the Team Behind This Review
An independent editorial desk that reviews HFM for readers in Nigeria, and nothing more than that.
Partner's licencesYou are checking a broker before you commit money. What can this page actually tell you?
You are probably weighing up where to open an account, and you want to know whether HFM is worth your time before you send anyone your details. This site exists to help with that narrow job. We read the terms, we test what can be tested from where we sit, and we write down what we find in plain language. What we cannot do is tell you what will happen to your money. A review describes how a service presents itself and behaves on the day we looked. It cannot predict a price move, a delay during a busy week, or how a support desk will treat a problem it has never seen before.
It also cannot know your circumstances. Two readers from Lagos and Kano can look at the same fee table and reach different conclusions, because they trade differently and hold different amounts. Treat what is here as a starting point for your own checks, not a verdict handed down from above.
Nor can any review remove the basic risk of trading. You can lose money, and no amount of reading about spreads and funding methods changes that.
What will this editorial team never do?
We are not HFM. We do not work for HFM, we are not paid by HFM to write about it, and we hold no account of any kind in its name. We do not take money from any broker, platform or partner in exchange for a review or a ranking. If that ever changed, the page would say so at the top, and until it does, you should assume it has not.
We will not open an account for you, take a deposit, place a trade, or hold your funds. We are not a financial adviser and this site gives no advice. Nothing published here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or sign up for anything, and we will not tell you that you should or should not use a particular service. We also will not fabricate details to look thorough. If we do not know a figure, we say we do not know it rather than fill the gap with something plausible.
What we will not do is the part that matters most: we will not quietly soften a finding because a company might prefer it softened.
How current is what I am reading?
Every page carries a date, and it means the date we last sat down with the material and rechecked it, not the date the page was first built. Broker terms move. A funding method gets withdrawn, a fee gets restated, a platform changes its layout, and a page written eighteen months ago can be wrong without being dishonest. We revisit the review pages on a regular cycle, and sooner than that when something material reaches us, whether from a reader or from the company itself.
Where a fact is older than our last check, we would rather flag the age than pretend to a freshness we have not earned. If you spot a date that looks stale, that is useful information for us, so please say so.
Where do the facts come from, and how can I argue with one?
Most of what you read comes from the broker's own published documentation: the terms, the fee schedules, the account pages, the materials a regulator requires to be shown. That is the primary record, and we quote it rather than paraphrase it into something friendlier. Where we test something ourselves, we describe the test and its limits. Where we rely on a public record, we name the type of record, not an invented reference number.
If something here looks wrong to you, tell us. Use the contact form on this site and include the page, the sentence, and whatever you can show us that contradicts it. We read those messages, we check the claim against the source, and where we are wrong we correct the page and note that it was corrected. Where we are not wrong, we will explain our reasoning.
We do not promise to change a finding because someone dislikes it. We do promise to look.
